A Dreamer's Hideaway

It’s been a while since this sequel has been announced, and it will be the second title in the series produced by Ken Levine. (Bioshock II was made without his involvement).
With an unexpected move, he decided to change completely the setting of the series, leaving the beautiful, yet nightmarish underwater city of Rapture, located at the bottom of the Atlantic ocean.

We are now flying through the clouds in a city called Columbia, created by the US government to celebrate its freedom, and the fact that it’s America’s turn to become a superpower.




The gameplay, if I understood correctly the intentions of Mr. Levine, will be pretty much the same…
I really loved Rapture, but you couldn’t fit too many stories down there, or the game would have become stale. Maybe we’ll come down there again, later… who knows? Even though I’m pretty positve it will be a great game, I’ll admit that I’m scared of this big change, but nonetheless, I will be giving it a try.

 OK, some time ago I decided that I had to try and write a blog, as I saw on Sherlock (BBC), it helps to fix some memories down and sometimes, to unlock someone's creative block. It may even be able to put some order in my life! I'll update both this and my tumblr account. Maybe I'll add livejournal to the list too :)
Started watching Single Father from BBC 5 days ago.

I hope that the other episodes will be just as good as the first one, and I hope they’ll be able to stir up more emotions. That’s how you recognize good dramas from bad ones, I guess.

Hollywoodian visuals and changes aside, it was pretty good. I really liked the fact that the story wasn't about the characters created by Verne, but people who had read the Verne's book.
The acting was terrible, but I wasn't expecting that from this film. I was expecting stunning visuals and a dreamy-yet-dangerous atmosphere.
Some scenes were too over the top though. Like the fight with the carnivorous plants, or one of the first scene inside the cave, the one where the trio falls down for a lot of seconds. But hey! It's just fiction, these things doesn't matter.

I'll always like Journey to the Centre of the Earth, no matter how bad the adaptation will be. It's one of those stories that can make my eyes shine, that can let my imagination run wild. The other story that I know can do this is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Ronald Dahl, ever since it was read for the first time by my Italian teacher back when I was 7, 8 or 9. I can't remember that well. =)

Yep, It's time to update a bit this blog again.
I have new plans. It doesn't matter anymore if people read my blog or not. I will write just for the sake of writing. :) I'll write about a specific topic for each day. Example: Monday - music, Tuesday - life, and so on. I have yet to decide the link between days and topics, so today I'll write about the first thing coming to my mind. Also, if someday there's something I want to write more than other days, I'll ignore the topic of the day and write about it.
So, ok, that's all for now :) Maybe later this day I'll kick off this blog.. for the second time.

Hey guys - it's a bit late here in Italy, 00:30 to be accurate. Still, while browsing for scandinavian cams, I found a gorgeous webcam from Visby.

Wikipedia says it's seasoned with almonds and rum, with raspberry jam in a sugar ring. Yum Yum. Want to taste it absolutely. Too bad it's easy to find just in Finland and only during a particular month =(
I'll go to eat my chocolate milk with biscuits now - too sad they are simple biscuits and not that delicious yummy yummy.

Hey guys!

Just a quick update on this blog's status: I put a template I found, since the project I have in mind will take a lot of time. But I'll swear it will be done. It's just a long and tiring work to do. I already have it in mind - it will be about the ocean. I can't say anymore.
But I'm so excited about it! I hope you'll like it when it will be ready. I have to start a quest for the nicest photos, and then I'll code it.

At the moment I feel a bit sad, right now Nightwish are playing at Sauna Open Air, a Finnish Open Air festival. I would have loved to be there, hepping and singing along.
Next time they'll be here, I will buy a ticket. Alternatives? Yep, Going to see them abroad in 2010. On the first show of the tour, so the setlist will be a surprise.. if I had done this for Brixton Academy in 2009, I would have probably died when the beginning of Dead Boy's Poem came in.
If I survived that, I would have died 120% the moment Jukka started drumming the now famous intro to Ghost Love Score, which is surely in my top 3 favourite songs of all time.

I am sad for another thing, too. Today I've put in the stereo Iron Maiden's "A Matter of Life and Death" CD. I started to sing along, and I pretty much sucked. I didn't have the voice, I couldn't switch well from head voice to chest voice.. I hope to be more in shape next time. And I should remember - no coffee, no milk before singing. Ever.

Now I'll go drinking some water and posting a bit on Nightwish Forum. I hope the guys there are prepared, a storm of boredom and apathy will come over there when I'll log-in.
